What made you want to DJ?
Despite both my parents were musicians they never taught me or forced me to learn to play any instrument‚ so I found my own way to the music.

What was the first track you bought specifically to DJ with?
I’m not 100% sure but I think it was St Germain’s “Boulevard 1/3” EP.

Everybody wants to be a DJ these days. What ignites your passion to continue, despite the competitiveness within club culture?
Standing in the front of the crowd and making it move just by playing my favourite tunes and mixing them together still makes me happy and recharges my batteries.

If you could go back in time and be involved in the club scene of any era, when would this be and why?
Definitely the 70s disco era because I love not just that music itself but also the whole disco culture – clothing, haircuts, flashing dancefloors.

Who would be your dream guest on your show?
No guests on the Mastermix, just a one-man show! :o)

If you could go B2B with any DJ on the planet, who would it be and where?
Grant Nelson on the “SunceBoat” ;o)

What was the last tune that was stuck in your head before this interview?
Hercules & Love Affair – Do You Feel The Same? (Purple Disco Machine Remix)

If you could have made any of the the records you have played which one would it be and why?
Soulsearcher’s “Can’t Get Enough” because I love it, it still works after more than 15 years and it started the big thing called Defected.

What’s your musical guilty pleasure? – Don’t be shy ?
Late 80s/early 90s rap music

If you could only listen to the same 5 records for the rest of your life, what would they be?
George Benson – Turn Your Love Around
Luther Vandross – Never Too Much
Shakatak – Easier Said Than Done
Tears For Fears – Advice For The Young And Heart
The Commodores – Easy
