What made you want to DJ?
Discovering rave parties in the very early 90’s blew my mind and totally changed my life, focusing on only thing, electronic music. From this time I knew that I wanted to be the man who pushed the bass behind the decks.

What was the first track you bought specifically to DJ with?
If my memory serves me well it was “Brighter Days” by Cajmere on Cajual

Everybody wants to be a DJ these days. What ignites your passion to continue, despite the competitiveness within club culture?
This huge sensation of giving the best of myself by sharing my love of music. It’s about feeling, giving some joy to people and making them (and I) shiver!

If you could go back in time and be involved in the club scene of any era, when would this be and why?
Without any doubt The Paradise Garage in the late 70’s. Just to experience for myself those crazy disco moments created by Larry Levan.

Who would be your dream guest on your show?
Joey Negro

If you could go B2B with any DJ on the planet, who would it be and where?
My sweet dream is a 24h non stop house party with Todd Terry + Little Louie Vega + Grant Nelson + Dj Sneak all together on one and only round floor, away from any pretentious “scene” and directly in contact with the crowd.
Place : an Island paradise – with 500 happy people max and a massive sound system!

What was the last tune that was stuck in your head before this interview?
Sample Your Soul (Louie Vega Remix) – Nick Monaco

If you could have made any of the the records you have played which one would it be and why?
That is a real hard question but I will say the Joey Negro’s album “Here Comes The Sunburst Band” because this album is a clever mix of many different musical influences.

What’s your musical guilty pleasure? – Don’t be shy ?
Jimi Hendrix – Jimi Blues (the whole album)

If you could only listen to the same 5 records for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody
Linton Kwesi Johnson – Bass Culture
Nuyorican Soul feat. India – Runaway (Album version)
Diana Ross – Love Hangover (Full Version)
Greyboy feat Karl Denson – Unwind your mind
