What made you want to DJ?
I remember from a very young age being into music, but music I couldn’t even go out and enjoy because I was too young!  The old prodigy stuff, 2 bad mice, krome & time etc. and then early jungle & Drum & Bass. From back then I always wanted to own all tunes that all the big DJs where playing, not what was on commercial radio and not just on a mix tape or tape pack…I wanted the actual track for myself to play and listen to. When I was 17/18  I was out shopping up town (or Birmingham City Centre if your not sure where town is haha) with a few mates and wondered into Hard to Find Records (back when you had to go up in that tiny lift!), after a good few hours listening to all sorts of vinyl, house, ukg, hip hop and drum & bass I left with a bag full of vinyl. Probably 20 or so records. I had no way of playing these vinyl, no decks, no mixer, no speakers and no idea how to DJ! This went on for months, until I found myself with a collection of 150 odd vinyl. So I went out and got myself a pair of numark decks and a 2 channel mixer with no eq’s and didn’t look back. From that day I you couldn’t get me off the decks, I would go to college come home and mix until I got complaints from the neighbours about the bass from my latest M Dubs promo 🙂
So I would say (as cheesy as it sounds) the music made me want to become a DJ (and maybe HTFR helped a bit!).
What was the first track you bought specifically to DJ with?
First vinyl I remember picking up for DJing was Judy Cheeks vs Stanton Warriors – Reach & Spin.
Everybody wants to be a DJ these days. What ignites your passion to continue, despite the competitiveness within club culture?
Not much comes close to the feeling you get when you make people happy by playing good music. I don’t watch other people, maybe that’s why I don’t look at it as competitive?
If you could go back in time and be involved in the club scene of any era, when would this be and why?
Without a doubt I would go back to 94 to see the UKG scene unfold, and be at all the pioneering events.
Who would be your dream guest on your show?
Obviously the man like DJ EZ
If you could go B2B with any DJ on the planet, who would it be and where?
Dominic Spreadlove at Gass Club
What was the last tune that was stuck in your head before this interview?
Stardust – Music sounds better with you
If you could have made any of the the records you have played which one would it be and why?
Logic – Blues For You (Hard Dub), this tune is just perfection, just listen to it!
What’s your musical guilty pleasure? – Don’t be shy  😉
80s music, there’s nothing wrong with it though so I don’t feel too guilty haha.
If you could only listen to the same 5 records for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Logic – Blues for you
Attica Blues – What do you want (Exemen remix)
M-Flo – How you like me now (Todd Edwards Dub Flo Remix)
Kim English – Nitelife
Anthil Mob – Things just started
