What made you want to DJ?
Since mid 90s, times when I was a kiddo, I have grown up a house music culture in my heart. I’ve started partying and the electronic music enchanted me – it was love form the first sight. I was grabbed by the role, that the DJ carried out in the parties – entertaining people, the music education, the way of DJing.
What was the first track you bought specifically to DJ with?
It was long time ago but I think it was Josh Wink “Are you there”…
Everybody wants to be a DJ these days. What ignites your passion to continue, despite the competitiveness within club culture?
I have already mentioned, music is my passion almost from beginning of my life. After I have played piano, the devotion developed into DJ-ing. Sixteen years later, this passion remains the same. I continue to select the finest and treasured music and playing it to the people. I am not concerned about the competitiveness within the club culture because there is a place for all under the sun. According to me, the audience can price you greatly if they notice your passion and love to the music.
If you could go back in time and be involved in the club scene of any era, when would this be and why?
If I had access to a time machine and I could turn back the hands of time, I would prefer to go backwards to the distant years of “Paradise Garage: Age and would like to play with Larry Levan.
Who would be your dream guest on your show?
In a parallel universe, I would like to invite the guys from Kyodai or the master creator of our radio- the person who inspires me with his music from years – Grant Nelson.
If you could go B2B with any DJ on the planet, who would it be and where?
At this moment I would like to play b2b with Fred Everything on a beach party with selected audience and perfect sound system. Right now there is a vision in my mind of playing Stardust – “Music Sounds Better With You” with the sunrise.
What was the last tune that was stuck in your head before this interview?
The groovy bassline of Grant Nelson – “Life”
If you could have made any of the the records you have played which one would it be and why?
Kerri Chandler – Bar-a-Thym – deep and hypnotic house classic…still playing it a lot!
What’s your musical guilty pleasure? – Don’t be shy 😉
Definitely Classical and Jazz music
If you could only listen to the same 5 records for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Julien Jabre – Swimming Places
Marshall Jefferson – Move Your Body
Frankie Knuckles – I’ll take you there
Michael Jackson – Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough
Kerri Chandler – Bar-a-Thym
