What made you want to DJ?
I’ve always loved music, even as I kid I’d always ask for records instead of toys! Remember the little 7inch vinyl!

What was the first track you bought specifically to DJ with?
For house music probably an Armand Van Helden track. Used to love mixing his tunes. His basslines were pretty pioneering! I was a jungle raver before that though so first vinyl for bedroom djing was probably something on Suburban Bass!

Everybody wants to be a DJ these days. What ignites your passion to continue, despite the competitiveness within club culture?
I dont feel like I have a choice! I couldn’t replace that feeling when a big tune drops and people go bananas with anything else! I’m an addict!

If you could go back in time and be involved in the club scene of any era, when would this be and why?
I missed the big rave scene by a few years! I was a tad too young. I’d love to have been involved in the big summer of love raving in fields hugging strangers!

Who would be your dream guest on your show?
Would have to be Frankie Knuckles. Always seemed really down to earth, and helped shape house music as we know it today

If you could go B2B with any DJ on the planet, who would it be and where?
For energy and mixing ability it would have to be DJ EZ! I was really into the uk garage scene and you know he would smash it every single time!

What was the last tune that was stuck in your head before this interview?
Lovers Theme – Coeo. Been around a while now but one of those tracks that gets better every time you hear it. Coeo and Detroit Swindle the best producers of 2014 for me

If you could have made any of the the records you have played which one would it be and why?
Dennis Ferrer – Sinfonia Della Notte springs to mind. So much going on in harmony, he’s like a composer!

What’s your musical guilty pleasure? – Don’t be shy ?
I’ll be completely honest! I only really listen to house music. I dont mind some of the older funky soul stuff but thats just like slower house anyway!

If you could only listen to the same 5 records for the rest of your life, what would they be?
1) Jocelyn Brown – Somebody elses guy
2) Y-Tribe – enough is enough
3) Each & Every Day – Jerk House Connection (Rocco Deeper Mix)
4) Coeo – Lovers theme
5) Oh no!!! only 1 more!!! Chaka Khan – Aint nobody
