Born and raised in Naples (Italy), one of the most prolific music cities in the world, Neapolitan Soul has always felt a natural passion for music. From a very early age he began to buy his first soul records. His main inspirations were Motown classics, 70s disco, as well as hip-hop, especially records where scratching was involved.
When he was just a teenager he showed very high skills in choosing the right music to make people dance and dream. He will always remember the song that got him started – Lil Louis “French Kiss”. Later he found his true path in music when he discovered “Victor Simonelli” and “Masters At Work”. From that moment on he knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life – House music.
At just 18, due to his advanced skills in mixing thanks to multi inspirational genres (R&B, soul, hip-hop, house), he became the dj resident in the club Metropolis in Naples. His popularity rose so much that he played all over south Italy in the best disco-club and club by night. In 2000 he began the “Neapolitan Soul” group, playing a mix of soulful, deep and afro house music on up to 4 decks.
Recently Neapolitan Soul has been touring in the United States between New York City and Miami and soon the West Coast. He has collaborated with multiple labels: Unkwn Records, Soundmen On Wax, Bassline Records, Sweatin’ Records, Expatriate Records and Block Soul Records.
He has featured on both Italian and American radio stations and he is working hard in the studio on various remixes and his latest project GOD MADE ME PHUNKY.
