What made you want to DJ? School days. I seem to remember half of my school wanted to be a DJ… But I put it down to the 100s of mixtapes & pirate radio shows i listened to at the time. One in particular that really inspired me personally was Underground Frequencies Vol. 1 by Tuff Jam

What was the first track you bought specifically to DJ with? I’m pretty sure it was Scott Garcia “It’s A London Thing” on 12” & I bought it from a Virgin records store around 1997 for a very reasonable £2.99

Everybody wants to be a DJ these days. What ignites your passion to continue, despite the competitiveness within club culture? It’s just the music for me. In the last 4-5 years some of the music coming out has been just phenomenal & that’s all that has kept me going! I know it’s a cliché to say that you do it for the love, but when the music is that good you don’t need to be playing in clubs every weekend to get enjoyment out of it.

If you could go back in time and be involved in the club scene of any era, when would this be and why? 1993-1996 for London’s Sunday Scene. I only just missed out on this era, but without a doubt the music I play today is heavily influenced by it.

Who would be your dream guest on your show? Andre 3000… Man is a genius!

If you could go B2B with any DJ on the planet, who would it be and where? I’d go B2B with Karizma in a packed out & down right sweaty Gass Club, London… Never been a lover of huge venues!

If you could have made any of the the records you have played which one would it be and why? Hardrive – Deep Inside. It’s so simple yet just never fails for me… I could listen to those beats rolling all day! And that bassline!! Absolute anthem…

What’s your musical guilty pleasure? – Don’t be shy 😉 Not that recent but Justin Timberlake – Take Back The Night… Big Tune!!!

If you could only listen to the same 5 records for the rest of your life, what would they be? It’s so bad that there’s no house tracks in there but these tracks never fail to make me smile!!

Massive Attack – Unfinished Sympathy

Al Green – Let’s Stay Together

Freeez – Southern Freeze

OutKast – Spottieottiedopalicious

Jackie Wilson – Higher & Higher
